An empathetic approach…

It’s essential for us that our clients get personalized suggestions on how to make socially significant, and sustained changes to their behavior. Rather than do things the typical way, we’ve created a system designed around our patients’ needs, by prioritizing environmental enrichment, and an overall increased quality of life.

Initial Assessment

The initial assessment in ABA is a comprehensive evaluation designed to understand the client's current behaviors, identify target behaviors for intervention, and determine the function of those behaviors. This process typically involves direct observations, interviews with caregivers, and possibly standardized assessments. A key component is the functional behavior assessment (FBA), which identifies the antecedents (triggers) and consequences (reinforcers) maintaining the behavior. The data gathered during this stage informs the development of an effective, individualized intervention plan tailored to the client's needs.

Behavior Intervention Plan

A Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) is a tailored, evidence-based strategy developed to address the target behaviors identified in the initial assessment. Grounded in ABA principles, the BIP outlines:

  • Specific, measurable goals for behavior change,

  • Intervention strategies, such as reinforcement, extinction, or antecedent manipulations,

  • Data collection methods to track progress, and

  • Criteria for success to evaluate outcomes.
